Versioned AI-agent skills for operating [Sequenzy](https://sequenzy.com) email marketing workflows from Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, Grok Build, and other SKILL.md-compatible agents.

## Why this exists

Agents are increasingly asked to do real lifecycle marketing work, not just draft copy. This repo gives them a precise operating guide for Sequenzy so they can inspect account state, manage subscribers and segments, create campaigns or sequences and control their lifecycle (cancel, pause, resume), run A/B tests, enroll subscribers, invite teammates, triage inbox replies, manage outbound webhooks, generate email drafts, send transactional emails, and surface review URLs without guessing command names or API payloads.

The installable skills are:

- [`sequenzy-email-marketing`](skills/sequenzy-email-marketing/SKILL.md): primary skill for operating campaigns and their lifecycle (cancel, pause, resume, delete, duplicate), A/B tests, sequences and manual enrollment, subscribers, lists, tags, segments, templates, team members, inbox conversations, outbound webhooks, transactional sends, stats, websites, and API keys through Sequenzy's CLI/API surface.
- [`sequenzy`](skills/sequenzy/SKILL.md): concise compatibility alias for broad Sequenzy references; use the explicit email-marketing skill when both apply.

## Install

Install the explicit email-marketing skill from GitHub:

```bash
npx skills add Sequenzy/skills --skill sequenzy-email-marketing
```

Or install the concise compatibility alias:

```bash
npx skills add Sequenzy/skills --skill sequenzy
```

Install for a specific agent when your `skills` CLI supports agent adapters:

```bash
# Claude Code
npx skills add Sequenzy/skills --skill sequenzy-email-marketing -a claude-code -y
# OpenAI Codex
npx skills add Sequenzy/skills --skill sequenzy-email-marketing -a codex -y
# Local checkout / development
npx skills add . --skill sequenzy-email-marketing -a codex -y
```

Hermes users can copy or sync the skill into their Hermes skills directory, then load it by name:

```bash
hermes skills list | grep sequenzy-email-marketing
```

## Claude Code marketplace

Install the Sequenzy plugin, including the email-marketing skill and hosted MCP connection:

```bash
claude plugin marketplace add Sequenzy/skills
claude plugin install sequenzy@sequenzy-plugins
```

Authenticate with your own Sequenzy account when using the hosted MCP server. Its tools can change account data and send real email; review recipients and mutating actions before approving them.

## Grok Build plugin

The repository is also an installable Grok Build plugin. It bundles the skills in this repository with Sequenzy's hosted MCP server at `https://api.sequenzy.com/v1/mcp`.

The hosted MCP server uses OAuth. Grok Build opens the Sequenzy authorization flow when the connection is first used; API keys are not stored in this repository. The MCP tools can create or change subscribers, campaigns, sequences, templates, and real email sends. Review mutating actions and recipient scope before approving them.

## Codex plugin

The [`plugins/sequenzy`](plugins/sequenzy) folder installs in Codex and the ChatGPT desktop app with the email-marketing skill and the hosted MCP server:

```bash
codex plugin marketplace add Sequenzy/skills
codex plugin add sequenzy@sequenzy
```

Without a browser, connect the server directly with a personal API key (it starts with `seq_user_`, from **Account Settings → API Keys** in Sequenzy) instead of the plugin:

```bash
export SEQUENZY_API_KEY=seq_user_...
codex mcp add sequenzy --url https://api.sequenzy.com/v1/mcp --bearer-token-env-var SEQUENZY_API_KEY
```

## Hermes Agent plugin

The same folder is in the Hermes Agent plugin catalog: `hermes plugins install sequenzy`, then `hermes plugins enable sequenzy`. On a server or another machine without a browser, skip the plugin and add the server to `~/.hermes/config.yaml` with a personal API key:

```yaml
mcp_servers:
  sequenzy:
    url: "https://api.sequenzy.com/v1/mcp"
    headers:
      Authorization: "Bearer ${SEQUENZY_API_KEY}"
```

Put `SEQUENZY_API_KEY=...` in your Hermes environment file. The key works like a password for your Sequenzy account, so don't paste it into a chat.

## Kiro power

The same folder is a Kiro power. In Kiro, open **Powers**, select **Add Custom Power**, then **Import power from GitHub**, and enter `https://github.com/Sequenzy/skills/tree/main/plugins/sequenzy`.

## Quick start for agents

1. Load [`skills/sequenzy-email-marketing/SKILL.md`](skills/sequenzy-email-marketing/SKILL.md).
2. Read [`references/use-cases.md`](skills/sequenzy-email-marketing/references/use-cases.md) before non-trivial mutations.
3. Authenticate with either:

```bash
sequenzy login
# or, for automation
export SEQUENZY_API_KEY=...
```

4. Verify access before mutating anything:

```bash
sequenzy whoami
sequenzy account
```

## Example agent tasks

```text
Use Sequenzy to draft a 4-email onboarding sequence for new trial users, then give me the dashboard URL to review it.
```

```text
Check last 30 days campaign stats, identify the weakest campaign, and suggest subject-line improvements without sending anything.
```

```text
Add user@example.com as a subscriber with the tags beta and founder, then show the saved subscriber profile.
```

```text
Create a saved segment for users who purchased Pro at least 3 times and preview its count before we use it in a campaign.
```

```text
The April launch campaign was scheduled with the wrong date - cancel it, fix the schedule, and give me the review URL.
```

```text
Triage unread inbox replies: summarize each open conversation, reply to the simple ones, and leave internal notes on anything that needs my input.
```

## Discovery

This repo includes a machine-readable discovery file at [`.well-known/skills/index.json`](.well-known/skills/index.json). Catalogs and agents can use it to find the canonical skill path, compatibility notes, and install command.

## Repository layout

```text
## Contributing
Keep the installable skill inside `skills/<skill-name>/` and treat `SKILL.md` as the source of truth for triggers, supported workflows, caveats, and verification steps. Reference files should contain longer command examples and decision trees so the main skill stays readable.
When adding a new skill, also update `.well-known/skills/index.json` so catalogs can discover it.
## Email Agent Skill Directory
These provider-neutral email skills are also available as separate repos and landing pages. Install any single skill directly with the bare skill name when your skills CLI registry supports it, or from this collection with `--skill`.
- [`emailworkflowskill`](skills/emailworkflowskill/SKILL.md): Workflow maps, lifecycle routing, trigger ownership, and agent-readable operating paths. Install: `npx skills add Sequenzy/skills --skill emailworkflowskill` or `npx skills add emailworkflowskill`.
- [`openclawemailskill`](skills/openclawemailskill/SKILL.md): Open, inspectable email campaign operations and provider-neutral playbooks for agents. Install: `npx skills add Sequenzy/skills --skill openclawemailskill` or `npx skills add openclawemailskill
