workspace-health

@leostehlik⭐ 0 stars

Audits an OpenClaw workspace for configuration health, signal quality, and security issues. Use when asked to run a health check, audit the workspace, review agent config quality, or check if AGENTS.md, SOUL.md, memory files, or skills are in good shape. Checks for: bloated bootstrap files, stale memory, skill description quality, prompt injection risks in skills, critical rules coverage, and context hygiene issues. OpenClaw equivalent of claude-health.

Choose how to use this skill

You do not need every option. Choose the path your AI client supports. The stable page stays the same; versioned files are immutable.

1. Native installer

This listing has no registered native installer command. Use the complete package or source fallback below, depending on what your client supports.

Do not guess an installer command or replace an existing version without reviewing the diff.

2. Complete package recommended

Download the ZIP when available. It includes SKILL.md plus the references, security notes and version metadata.

No complete ProSkills package is published for this listing yet.

3. Prompt-only

Copy the prompt above when the agent can read the stable page or when you want to adopt the workflow without installing a skill.

Need only the instruction file?

Download SKILL.md only if your client requires a single file. The complete ZIP is safer for a full installation because it preserves the references and release context.

No path installs or executes anything by itself. Your agent still needs access to the project files. Before updating, compare the installed version and review the diff.

workspace-health

Audit your OpenClaw workspace configuration health across all layers.

Detects bloated bootstrap files, stale memory, skill security issues, silent-failure cron patterns, and process discipline gaps. Outputs a prioritised report: fix now, fix soon, nice to have.

OpenClaw equivalent of claude-health.

What it checks

LayerChecks
Bootstrap filesSignal-to-noise, prose bloat, critical rules coverage, security, contradictions
Memory filesMEMORY.md index sync, staleness, open-items hygiene, daily log gaps
SkillsDescription token count, trigger clarity, content quality, security (injection, credentials, destructive commands)
Cron jobsPrompt quality, silent failure patterns, staleness, missing fallbacks
Process disciplineSession close habits, agent brief quality, memory maintenance

Installation

OpenClaw

Add your workspace skills directory to openclaw.json:

{
  "skills": {
    "load": {
      "extraDirs": ["/path/to/your/skills"]
    }
  }
}

Clone into that directory:

git clone https://github.com/LeoStehlik/workspace-health.git /path/to/your/skills/workspace-health

The skill triggers automatically when you ask for a health check, workspace audit, or config review.

Usage

Just ask:

Run a health check on my workspace

Or invoke directly:

/workspace-health

Output

Findings are grouped by priority:

Critical - Fix now Skill security issues, blocking open items, cron silent failures, dangerous bootstrap instructions

Structural - Fix soon AGENTS.md prose bloat, MEMORY.md out of sync, skill description quality, stale memory entries

Incremental - Nice to have Open items hygiene, daily log gaps, skill organisation improvements

When to run

  • After a busy sprint or session cluster
  • Before briefing a new agent on complex work
  • When agent behaviour starts degrading (forgetting rules, ignoring context)
  • Monthly as routine maintenance

Inspiration

Inspired by claude-health by tw93. Built as our own implementation for the OpenClaw workspace structure.
